Lyman Currier showed a lot of promise when he qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in 2014. He traveled to Sochi alongside childhood friends Torin Yater-Wallace and Aaron Blunck, but his trip ended in heartbreak after he crashed and tore his ACL in the qualifying round. Although injuries have continued to limit him in the years since, he has turned in impressive results when healthy, including a runner-up finish at the Tignes World Cup event in 2016.

Currier began skiing when he was 18 months old. His father, David Currier, was an Alpine skier who competed at the Winter Olympics in 1972.
