Throughout her snowboarding career, Elena Hight has been a consistent innovator. She helped bring 900s into competition, including back-to-back 900s, and was the first rider — male or female — to land an alley-oop double backside rodeo in a superpipe contest.
The Hawaii native has also represented the United States at the Olympics twice — once in 2006, then again in 2010. She reached the final both times.
Though Hight missed out on the Olympic team in 2014, she proved that she is still a force to be reckoned with by winning her first X Games gold medal in 2017.
