A member of the stacked U.S. pro halfpipe team, Alex Ferreira is looking to make his first Olympic team. Should he make it to PyeongChang, he will be a contender, but first, he will need to compete with his own teammates for the right to represent the United States.
The former Free Flow Tour champion has become one of the field’s most exciting skiers thanks to his high-flying amplitude and his visible enthusiasm after landing runs. Within the last year, he’s had wins at the Tignes World Cup and Winter Games New Zealand.
Ferreira landed on the podium with a third-place finish when he last competed at Dew Tour in 2015.
