Nike 6.0 BMX Open Kicks Off

The Nike 6.0 BMX Open is officially underway here at Chicago’s Soldier Field South Festival Lot as the second stop of the 2010 Dew Tour kicks off today. Practices are running on both the BMX park and dirt courses, and the first qualifiers for the Tour are just a few hours away.

In store this weekend is a whole lot of BMX action with competitions in park, vert and dirt featuring BMX’s top talent, including Dave Mirra, Garrett Reynolds, Ryan Nyquist and Jamie Bestwick. Like in Boston, this stop will be hosting Open Qualifiers for the new talent coming hoping to join the Dew Tour. More than 150 athletes are set to show what they’ve got this weekend, so it’s sure to be a full two days of contests, parties, concerts and a whole lot more.
