Christy Prior is a steezy slopestyle rider from Wanaka, New Zealand. But what’s so unique about Prior’s story is that she didn’t even start snowboarding until she was 17 years old. She certainly made up time though, laying a firm slopestyle foundation at Snowplanet, an indoor facility in Auckland.

Prior and her funky style are taking the snowboard slopestyle scene by storm: Combining huge air with big spins and technical jib work, she’s proving to be one of the dopest riders on the scene. Her accomplishments already include a second place finish at the Supergirl Snow Pro/Community Cup, beating out top-ranked competitor, Silje Norendal.

When she’s not ascending the snowboarding world rankings, she enjoys art and getting her yoga on.
