Birthed by the the Gonz Father, Mark Gonzalez created bLind Skateboards in 1989 following his departure from Vision Skateboards. See what he did there? At the time, bLind was formed as an offshoot under World Industries, which allowed Jason Lee to become the second official team member as he swapped over from World. The team continued to grow and included an all-star roster complete with Guy Mariano, Rudy Johnson and Jordan Richter. In 1991, bLind rocked the skateboard world by creating what is often regarded as skateboarding’s most influential video, Video Days. The company garnered worldwide recognition and was at the time identified by cartoon grim reaper and gruesomely dark animated graphics. In the early 90s bLind was selling more skateboards and jeans than any company and continued to set the bar for what was expected in the industry. Today bLind looks a little different and has an entirely new set of skaters representing it, but is still as impactful as ever. With a throwback 90s graphic logo, a stacked roster of incredible skateboarders, and more banger videos than any other company, bLind is an essential staple of the skateboard industry.
