Founded by Per Welinder and Tony Hawk in 1992, Birdhouse has a strong history as a rider driven company that loves skateboarding with a passion. Over the years some of the most influential skateboarders in the game have pushed on Birdhouse decks: Jeremy Klein, Heath Kirchart, Willy Santos, Steve Berra, and Andrew Reynolds to name a few. They put together the instant classic team video, The End, which was the first skate movie to be filmed entirely on 16mm film. The Birdhouse team was also predominantly featured in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game franchise, garnering them worldwide fame. In 2016, Birdhouse continues its legacy of fostering the best skateboarders with a team stacked with shredders like Aaron Homoki, Ben Reyburn, David Loy, Shawn Hale, Clint Walker, and more. Together, they have won Thrasher’s King of the Road two straight years, something any team would crow about.
