In the year 2000, the skateboard industry was hit over the head with a sledgehammer by a newly formed company that was as raw, unhinged, and gnarly as anything that had been seen in a decade. Andrew Reynolds and Jay Strickland wanted to make a company that was promoting “piles”, riders that didn’t care about anything but skateboarding, partying, and mayhem, so they stacked the team roster with Dustin Dollin, Jim Greco, “Knox” Godoy, Terry Kennedy, Evan Hernandez, and Jeff Lenoce. Their legendary team videos: Baker Bootleg, Baker 2g, and Baker 3g were perfect showcases of the team’s skateboarding and wild lifestyle. In 2015, the team is comprised of Andrew Reynolds, Riley Hawk, Brian Herman, Spanky Long, Dustin Dollin, Terry Kennedy, Justin “Figgy” Figueroa, Theotis Beasley, Don “Nuge” Nguyen, Sammy Baca, Cyril Jackson, Dee Ostrander, Rowan Zorilla and Tristan Funkhouser. When it comes to being the loose cannons of skateboarding, Baker is always firing.
