Dew Tour returns to Breckenridge, Colorado for its ninth year from December 8 – 11, but this time everything has been reimagined.

The first major contest of the winter features a game-changing course for both the individual Pro Competition and the new Team Challenge. Built by Snow Park Technologies, the course is split into three sections including a modified-Superpipe with a hip entrance and waterfall exit, a slopestyle jump zone made up of three consecutive kickers, and jib zone with five islands packed full or features to end it all off.

Sochi Olympic slopestyle gold medalist, Joss Christensen, breaks it all down for you in the video above.

Individual Pro Competition

The world’s best ski athletes including Joss Christensen and Gus Kenworthy have been invited to compete on the new course consisting of Individual Pipe and Individual Slopestyle made up of a separate jump and jib zone. The women’s individual competitions will take place on Friday, December 9, while the men’s competition goes down on Saturday December 10.

Team Challenge

Dew Tour will also bring its new Team Challenge to the winter event, which was first introduced at this past summer’s skate competition in Long Beach, California. The Team Challenge invites six of the biggest ski brands to Breckenridge to compete in a team format that embraces the ski community. The board brands will select three of their team riders to compete in one of the three sections, allowing wildcards who are not in the Pro Competition an opportunity to compete at Dew Tour. As a result, some of the best jib/rail skiers and will be seen competing for the first time at Dew Tour.

Dew Tour’s signature Streetstyle event will be returning this year with a ski jam session held in downtown Breckenridge at the Blue River Plaza on Friday, December 9 at 6 p.m. MDT.
