A two-time Dew Cup champion, Louie Vito is looking to return to the Olympics after missing the team in 2014.
The Ohio native moved to Vermont in eighth grade to attend Stratton’s winter sports school before embarking on a fruitful snowboarding career. He gained mainstream popularity after appearing on Dancing With The Stars shortly before the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, then ended up finishing in fifth place in halfpipe at the Winter Games.
Following the Vancouver Olympics, Vito won back-to-back Dew Tour championships and became the first rider to land four consecutive double corks in one run. But he was unable to qualify for the next Olympics despite entering the 2013/14 season as one of the presumptive favorites.
