Leo Romero is committed to skateboarding. He skates fast, falls hard, and rarely walks away from a trick before it’s landed. From his early days as an am for Foundation Skateboards, it was obvious he had major potential, with his waist high nose slide in Emerica’s This is Skateboarding part raising more than a few eyebrows. Leo turned pro in 2004 for Foundation and appeared in the 2005 TransWorld video First Love where he closed out the part out with gnarly 5-0 down a 15-stair rail. 2010 was a banner year for Leo, he dropped his Emerica Stay Gold part, which included seventeen minutes of B-Side footage that made such a splash that he was given Thrasher‘s Skater of the Year award. He loves playing music with his band, Travesura, a rotating lineup of musicians that plays everything from rock ‘n roll to electronic, and often brings his guitar along to skate spots to serenade his teammates during a session.
