Australian born Kent Callister began snowboarding when his family moved from the sunny Gold Coast of Australia to snowy Bend, Oregon. With Mt. Bachelor as his home mountain, Callister splashed on to the snowboarding scene when he won the Gatorade Free Flow Tour in both slopestyle and superpipe at the same stop.
Callister was selected for both the US and Australian halfpipe teams in the 2012-2013 season, after finishing in the top twenty at the World Cup in Cardrona, New Zealand and World Championships in Stoneham, Canada. The following season, Callister finished 12th at Dew Tour at Breckenridge mountain. He competed for Australia at the 2014 Winter Olympics in halfpipe, where he finished 9th overall.
Callister is just getting started with his snowboarding career and he’s making waves with his style and flavor–man’s got more flavor then his great uncle’s invention of vegemite!
