Jessika Jenson was on skis at the age of 6 before switching to snowboarding four years later. The Idaho native started entering contests another four years after that, when she was 14.

During the 2014 Olympic qualifying season, Jenson emerged from the chaos with back-to-back third-place finishes at the final two selection events. That was enough to get her named to the U.S. Olympic snowboard slopestyle team as a discretionary selection. During the Sochi Games that year, she placed 13th — one spot shy of qualifying for the final.

In the years since her Olympic debut, Jenson had three consecutive top-ten finishes in slopestyle at the U.S. Open from 2014-2016.

Jenson also has her own line of neck warmers (“J!Wow Nekk Armor”) which she sews by hand.
