Chloe Kim has reached the podium all three times she has competed at Dew Tour, but she has yet to win the event. The 17-year-old wunderkind will look to change that this year, as she attempts to use the event to help lock down a spot on her first Olympic team.
Over the last few years, Kim has taken over as the face of women’s snowboard superpipe. The reigning World Snowboard Tour champion has won numerous contests in recent years, including X Games and the U.S. Open. She also made history by becoming the first woman to land back-to-back 1080s in the superpipe.
Though she was unable to compete at the last Olympics due to her age, Kim made an appearance at the 2016 Youth Olympic Winter Games, where she earned gold medals in both superpipe and slopestyle. Her ability to ride through the pipe at fast speeds allows her to generate massive amplitude and throw huge tricks, and that’s why she enters the Olympic season as the gold-medal favorite for PyeongChang 2018.
