The youngest member of the U.S. pro team for men’s halfpipe, Birk Irving is an up-and-coming freeskier.
In 2016, Irving competed at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. Though he had recently fractured his fibula and been unable to train, he still managed to win a gold medal in halfpipe. Last season, he finished 4th at X Games and was ranked No. 5 in the AFP halfpipe rankings.
His younger sister Svea Irving is a member of the U.S. rookie team for women’s halfpipe and is an Olympic hopeful as well.
