Ty Walker was born on Long Island, New York. But luckily for this shredding sensation, she was born into a ski family, and started snowboarding at the age of 7 in Stowe, Vermont. Thanks to her family’s weekend trips to the mountain, she began competing at 9 years old, showcasing her skills.
She rides both halfpipe and slopestyle, but has found the most success in the latter. A proud member of the U.S. Snowboarding Team, the young rider has already accumulated a respectable list of accolades, including big wins in 2011 at the Roxy Powder Jam at Mammoth Mountain, California and the USASA Nationals.
When she’s not competing, you can find this straight-A student studying and hanging out with friends.
