Luke Winkelmann has a snowboard style that is a product of his environment: fun. Honing his skills at the renown snowboard camp, High Cascade, Winkelmann has worked hard to master his style on snow. The consistent theme of his riding is anything but predictable but always full of technique and character.
The camp is not the only place he has proved his shred-abilities, though. In 2014, Winkelmann hopped into the U.S. Revolution Tour to begin a career of snowboarding. Despite a seemingly slow start in the formalized slopestyle competitive circles, his trick choice and sense of style has made him hard, if not impossible, to ignore. Let Winkelmann loose in a rail jam and you will see what we mean.
From his humble beginnings in Blowing Rock, North Carolina to his now worldly life of a traveling snowboarder, Winkelmann look to have just scratched the surface of what he can do on the board.
