In the early aughts, the Phoenix, Arizona area had a skatepark boom. Parks were poured in places like Chandler, Tempe, and Paradise Valley. A few years later, we started to see a new breed of talent popping up. If those parks were seeds, skaters like Dakota Servold were the fruit. Of course, a talent like Servold’s isn’t confined to any park—in fact, he’s better known for assaulting street spots, like gaps and handrails, as seen in Foundation’s “Oddity” video.
