Straight out of Porto Alegre, Brazil, Carlos Ribeiro is one of the freshest faces to take on the skate scene. Crisp from his Nike SB kicks to his Primitive Skateboard, Ribeiro throws down with the absolute best of them. Look to his recent performance at the 2016 Tampa Pro where he rode right past the best to earn second only to his Primitive teammate, Shane O’Neill. Still, Ribeiro’s true ability on the board is measured in the streets. Growing up learning how to make it happen regardless of the conditions, Ribeiro quit school at the age of 16 (with the blessing from his mother, a teacher) to give skateboarding everything he had. At 19 he took his first trip to the states, and the rest is history. For some insight into this Brazilian’s board handling, watch his full “Primitive Presents” part where put all of his gifted skateboard skills on display. Skating alongside teammates like Paul Rodriguez and O’Neill, Ribeiro gets technical with the greatest out there and can be occasionally seen besting them. Once at The Berrics Ribeiro was recorded beating his boss, P-Rod, on a Battle Royale competition to land a frontside bluntslide to bigflip out on a flat bar. From flat bars and ledges to hefty handrails and hubbas, Ribeiro skates with a relaxed, smooth style and can comfortably take his tricks to any terrain.
