Ask Alex Beaulieu-Marchand about his knitting career and you might get an interesting story. That’s because when ABM was trying to afford a trip to Momentum Ski Camps in Whistler, BC, the young Canadian funded his trip by knitting and selling hats around the neighborhood. These days ABM doesn’t sell as many hats, but he does ski the glaciers as part of the Canadian National Freestyle Team. It’s a designation earned in due part to his unequivocal rail slaying and the air awareness that vaulted him to 2nd at the 2013 Dew Tour. Beaulieu-Marchand is a constant presence on Newschoolers as well and has teamed up with the STEPT crew to film street segments when he’s not putting down slopestyle heaters. ABM is also a two-time Olympian. At the 2014 Sochi Games he rode out in 12th overall, but in 2018 he came into South Korea with redemption on the brain and found himself rocking a bronze medal by the time the event was over.
