The Final Is Set For Women’s Slopestyle

After a little balk at the beginning of the competition the girls pulled it together and threw down to make the finals and set the stage for what will be one of the closest of the Dew Cup Races.

Spencer O’Brien already pre-qualified had the day off but her other Dew Cup Race comrades Jamie Anderson and Jenny Jones battled the slope course to secure their place in the finals and set up a showdown on Friday afternoon to crown the Dew Cup Champion.

Jenny qualified first and Jamie took third. Splitting the two ladies was elder stateswomen Janna Meyen Weatherby. All three ladies qualified on their first runs with scores of 83.83, 82.00 and 74.17 respectively. The only drama of the prelims involved Kjersti Ostgaard Buaas who on her final run was able to bump Lynn Neil out of the last spot and leap frog Megan Ginter for fourth place in the prelims.

The slope course was a beast with the cold temperatures and windy conditions so all these ladies deserve high-fives for getting done what had to be done to set up what is sure to be an action packed final.
