Plenty of Action Both In and Around Dew Tour’s Boston Event

The Dew Tour is headed to Boston next week and there’s as much to do around the town as there is inside the competition venue.

Go Skateboarding Day kicks off the week on Monday, June 21 and if you spot the Dew Tour’s street team around town you’ll be eligible for free tickets to the event. But no worries if you miss them because there’s a “GoSk8” promo code good that day for discounted tickets at ticketmaster.com.

Outside of Dew Tour tickets, the local skate shops are throwing down with free demos and events all day long at Orchard Skateshop, Boardwalk Skateshop and Blvd.

For your fix of live music, hit up the FREE concert on Thursday with Neon Trees and Paper Tongues at the first event of the MTV2 Rock and Jock Concert Series. You can get your groove on at City Hall when doors open at 7 p.m., and the music starts at 8.

For all the Ryan Sheckler fans out there, make sure to stop by the Dew Tour on Friday. He’ll be visiting the JC Penney Booth during the day and the first 100 lucky fans in line will score his autograph.  Come back on Saturday and you can watch him compete for the Skateboarding World Championships Title.

Once the competitions wrap up, there will be a Grind for Life Benefit Party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday at DJ’s on Friend St. and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Grind for Life and their mission to help people with cancer.
