Music Headliners Announced for the Dew Tour Pantech Beach Championships in Ocean City

Burr Ridge, Ill. – August 1, 2012 – The Dew Tour today announced the massive music lineup set to perform throughout the Pantech Beach Championships, Aug. 16-19 in Ocean City, Md.  The Dew Tour in Ocean City features nine musical acts, the biggest line-up in Dew Tour history, with concerts throughout three days of the event.  From electronic to hip-hop to indie rock, the weekend’s musical guests offer a variety of styles for the crowds to enjoy.  All performances will be free for the public to attend, with special viewing areas available to Premium Pass holders.  
 
Socially conscious rapper/producer Lupe Fiasco will bring his progressive beats to headline the beach on Aug. 17, to close out Friday’s events.  Spectators can look forward to a performance that will feature songs from his recent Grammy-nominated album LASERS.  Up-and-coming Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London will open Friday’s show.
 
Saturday’s afternoon line-up features three alternative rock bands, including Rites of Ashes and The Perfects, hailing from Washington, DC and Baltimore, respectively.  Indie artist Vital will wrap up the afternoon performances.  Saturday night takes a turn toward electronic dance music, featuring three evening acts headlined by Wolfgang Gartner .  The Grammy-nominated West Coast-based DJ/producer is sure to have the audience moving well into the night.  His set will be preceded by two young acts on the electronic dance music scene – DallasK and Two Fresh .  
 
Concerts will begin at Thursday night’s GoDaddy Surf Expression Session on Aug. 16, with a set from RAC DJ , and run through Saturday night.  The complete schedule of music performances is as follows:

The Dew Tour Pantech Beach Championships will air live on NBC Sports Network on Friday, August 17 at 7:30pm ET, on Saturday, August 18 on NBC at 1:00pm ET, and on Sunday, August 19 on NBC at 2:00pm ET.  Additional broadcasts on NBC Sports Network will be August 16 at 11:00pm ET, August 18 at 11:00pm ET, August 19 at 11:00pm ET and August 25 at 12:00am ET.
 
The Dew Tour Pantech Beach Championships will be free to attend, with Premium Passes available for purchase at www.dewtour.com.
