Mark Hoyt Wins Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Semi-Finals
Mark Hoyt won the men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Semi-Finals on Friday at the Winter Dew Tour’s Toyota Championships. His score of 88.17 on the three rail sections and two jumps held off the rest of the field of 19 riders. The top nine from Semis advance to Sunday’s Final along with the top three overall riders, Sebastien Toutant, Gjermund Braaten and Eric Willett.
The Colorado native put together a run of disaster to 270 frontboard, tailslide 270 off over the up down rail, into a 5050 backside 180 off the cannon box finished with a switch backside 900 mute grab and huge backside double cork 1080 melon grab to score an 88.17. Sage Kostenburg (86.50) and Seth Hill (86.50) finished second and third respectively.
