Kelly Clark Stomps The Highest Score In Women’s Snowboard Superpipe Semi-Final

The Women’s Snowboard Superpipe Semi-Final kicked off the Friday events at the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships hosted at Breckenridge, Colorado and the slight snowfall made for the perfect accent to the competition’s scene.

The semi-final consisted of thirteen women, one of whom earned her spot by winning at Free Flow Tour, each allotted two runs with only the best score counting. The top six women will advance to a final round where they, again, took two runs each with only the best score counting.

The reigning champ of women’s superpipe, Kelly Clark, came in hot on her first run and took the top spot for the remaining of the competition. However, on her second run, what would be a victory lap, Clark upped her game with a frontside air, backside 540, frontside 720 into a cab 720, then threw a frontside 540 and poked a method to end her run and to take a 93.00 for the day.
