2008 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Schedule Released

Orlando, Fla. – The world’s top pro wakeboarders are gearing-up for another exciting year of high-flying, rail-sliding, water-sports action, as the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is set to kick off its 17th season. World Sports & Marketing, organizers of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, released today the 2008 schedule with stops in Acworth, Ga.; Fort Worth, Tex.; Twin Cities, Minn.; Phoenix, Ariz.; and Reno, Nev.

Wakeboard fans in Georgia will be stoked to see the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour return to Dallas Landing Park for the third consecutive year. The Tour will kick off the season on May 16-18 in Acworth with riders going big, looking to set the tone early on in the year.

The action continues with the Tour revisiting Fort Worth, May 30-June 1 at Texas MasterCraft. Fans in Texas will not only see the pro men battling it out on the water, but for the first time, the Pro Women’s Division will also be featured in Fort Worth.

Moving up north, the Tour will return to Twin Cities, June 7-8 at Island Lake County Park. Minnesota is the mid-point of the season where riders will look to move up in the Indmar Performance Standings and pull away from the competition before the fourth stop of the year. The Pro Women’s Division will also make their debut in Twin Cities.

For the first time ever, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will visit the hottest city around, Phoenix, June 28-29 at Firebird Raceway. Phoenix will feature both pro men and women, and will determine who is still in the running for the Tour titles.

The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will round out the season in Reno, July 11-13 at Sparks Marina. With Tour titles up grabs, riders will look to go big and gamble for last-minute points for the top spot.

The top points earner in the Indmar Performance Standings at the end of the season will receive the Indmar Performance Award. The award is a $10,000 cash bonus for the Pro Men’s Division winner and a $5,000 cash prize for the Pro Women’s Division winner.

The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is a weekend-long carnival of water-sports action. But not all of the action takes place on the water.
