Mark McMorris and Enni Rukajarvi Lead Snowboard Slope Qualifiers

Today’s action kicked off with the men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Open Qualifiers followed by the women’s Open Qualifiers in the afternoon. Canada’s Mark McMorris stole the show with a first place score of 86.83. McMorris’ highest scoring run included a backside 1080 double cork and a double wildcat. Robbie Walker qualified second and Sondre Tiller was third.

Enni Rukajärvi led the women’s field after landing huge tricks that included a switch frontside 540, a backside 360 and a backside 540. Cheryl Maas and Rebecca Torr qualified second and third respectively.
 
The top nine finishers for men will advance to Friday’s Prelims, and the top 10 finishers for women will advance to Saturday’s Prelims.
